Nyanya bomb blast victims face hunger in hospital - report

According to a report by Premium Times, some victims of Monday's bomb blast receiving medical attention at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja are currently facing hunger as no one is providing them with food.

One of the survivors, Salome Jim, told Premium Times that she's only received drugs and drips from the hospital management but no one has given her anything to eat.

Kwakwanso Embezzled my Campaign Fund, Jonathan Alleges

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday took on Governor Rabiu Kwakwanso of Kano State, accusing him of embezzling the money his (President’s) campaign office provided to mobilise the state delegates for the 2011 presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party and the main election.

He said the governor deliberately engaged in the act to make the state delegates angry and refuse to vote for him in the primary and during the presidential election.

Jonathan said contrary to his claim, Kwakwanso did not vote for him in the 2011 presidential election.

14 Year-Old Child-Bride Charged With Killing Husband, 3 Others in Kano

Wasila Tasi’u, the 14 year old bride who killed her 35 year husband Umar Sani, and three others in Kademi village in Gaya Local Government Area in Kano has been charged with murder.

She was charged April 14th before a Rijiyar Zaki Magistrates Court in Kano for alleged culpable homicide.

Motivational blogger Karyn Washington commits suicide, aged 22

Karyn Washington, the young beautiful lady who founded the blog For Brown Girls has committed suicide. Karyn killed herself at her home on April 8th. She was just 22.

Her friends say the popular blogger, who founded the blog three years ago to 'celebrate the beauty of dark skin while combatting colorism and promoting self love', suffered from depression and mental illness for many months before taking her life. Friends say the depression started after she lost her mum to cancer in 2013.

Killer Child-Bride Speaks: ‘I Regret Killing My Husband, 17 Days After Wedding

About two weeks ago, a 14 year old teenage girl named Wasila Umaru (pictured above), who was forced into marriage with a 35 year old man, killed the man and three of his friends with rat poison by slipping the poison into their meal during a small wedding party which took place in the northern Ungwar Yansoro village, at Gaya LGA near the city of Kano. The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended a 20-year-old man, Ngwuta Nweke, for allegedly killing his friend in their apartment in the Sawmill area of Ebute Meta.

She didn't even wash them considering that people spit,pee and cough as they walk on the road. She dumped the old bottle which had a visibly washed out "agbo" on the ground and hurriedly left with the new batch.

3 People Dead in Kansas City shooting

(CNN) -- A gunman opened fire at two Jewish facilities near Kansas City on Sunday, killing three people, police said.

Authorities are investigating whether the shootings were a hate crime, Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass told reporters. "It's too early in the investigation to try to label it. We know it's a vicious act of violence. Obviously, at two Jewish facilities, one might make that assumption, but we're going to have to know more about it," he said.
