30 year old Stockton California native Jeremy Meeks (pictured above) was arrested on June 18th for the illegal possession of firearms, carrying a loaded firearm in public & criminal street gang activity. Immediately his mugshot was posted on the Stockton Police Department's Facebook page, people blew up the page, not because they were interested in his crime, but because of his looks, with many calling him the hottest criminal since Robin hood.

Adamawa accounts frozen by EFCC –Nyako

The plot to impeach the Adamawa State Governor, Murtala Nyako, took a dramatic twist on Thursday, as he has cried out that forces behind the plot have frozen the state government’s accounts.

He said this in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents in Abuja, on Thursday.

Nyako, who spoke through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Ahmad Sajoh, also said he had yet to receive a copy of the impeachment notice.

Ekiti Guber elections: APC Governors Barred From Landing Private Planes in Akure

The APC is claiming that some of their governors have been barred from landing their private planes in Akure ahead of the June 21st governorship election in Ekiti state. The leadership of the opposition party said while APC Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, managed to land his plane, Governors Rabiu Kwankwaso and Adams Oshiomhole weren't so lucky as their planes were denied the rights to land at the Akure Airport.

2 Women Jailed 5 Months Each for Slapping a Police Offcier In Abuja

An Upper Area court in Zuba, FCT, on Wednesday sentenced two women – Binta Mamman, 35, and Safiya Aliyu, 19, both of Deidei, Abuja, to five months imprisonment for slapping a police man.

The women had also been charged with using abusive language and public nuisance.

Malam Aminu Sa’ad, the presiding judge, handed down the sentence after the women pleaded guilty to the three-count charge of criminal force and assault, use of abusive language and public nuisance.

$227million Abacha Loot Recovered from Liechtenstein

On June 25th Nigeria will receive $227million from the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Europe, as the nation is said to have agreed to release the stolen money.

The Rivers State Government has issued a statement saying the state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has been arrested and detained by security operatives in Odudu, Ondo state.

Governor Amaechi had arrived Ondo state en-route Ado-Ekiti where he was to join his fellow APC Governor, Kayode Fayemi for the last lap of his re-election campaign today in when he was refused entry into the state. He decided to turn back to Ondo state to go board the private jet that brought him but was however arrested by security agents.
