Boko Haram Kills Another 24 in Fresh Borno Attack

Maiduguri—No fewer than 24 people were reportedly killed yesterday in an attack carried out by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Kamuyya village, Biu Local Government Area of Borno State.

Boko Haram militants have recently intensified bloody attacks in the rural areas as over 100 villagers have reportedly lost their lives within the last one week.

Vandals kill two Policemen, abduct two others in Ogun

ABEOKUTA — Pandemonium broke out, yesterday, at the Arepo pipeline on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State after suspected vandals reportedly shot dead two policemen and abducted two others during a gun battle.

Vanguard gathered that the vandals were scooping fuel in the area after an explosion earlier, prompting a team of policemen to race to the scene.

On early Sunday morning (May 25), witnesses at a Fatburger on the Las Vegas Strip say Mayweather was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked in and started to exchange hostile words, TMZ reports. Soon after, the rapper allegedly swung at Mayweather and a fight broke out, resulting in the minor injury of a restaurant employee. Bodyguards for T.I. and Mayweather stepped in and the two celebrities left the scene before police arrived.

Man slaughters niece for ritual

Thirty five-year old Boniface Ohakwe is now cooling his heels in police custody for allegedly killing his 12-year old niece, Miss Kelechi Ohakwe, for ritual intents.

Investigations revealed that until her untimely death, late Kelechi was a student of Sir Enoch Anyanwu Memorial Convent, Umuariam, Obowo local council area of Imo State.

Victim of Customs Officer's acid attack discharged from hospital

Tope Fadipe, the lady who was attacked with acid by a Nigerian Customs Officer in Badagry area has been discharged from the General Hospital in Badagry, Sahara Reporters reports. (Read here)

Tope was admitted at the hospital on May 9th following the attack by Chief Superintendent of Customs F.C. Nwaeze, who accused her of failing to remit N50,000 in stock sales to his wife, an
allegation Tope denied but was still punished for it. The acid caused the victim grievous bodily harm.

Her attacker is currently being held at the Police State Criminal Investigation Department at Panti in Yaba, Lagos. Continue...
