WOW: Montana Residents Are Finding GOLD in Their Tap Water

Whitehall, Montana consists of approximately 1,000 people and is nearly 70 miles south from the capital city of Helena. KTVM NBC Montana is reporting that at least two households in the Jefferson County town are finding gold flakes in their tap water, and that has them concerned.

REPORT: GEJ Regime's Clampdown on Newspaper Distribution Continues

The President Goodluck Jonathan regime on Saturday continued its onslaught on the media by impounding packs of major newspapers, their circulation vehicles and arresting drivers.

The clampdown, which began on Friday, entered its second day on Saturday with greater ferocity. Our correspondents, who monitored developments round the country, report that early on Saturday morning, soldiers stormed newspaper distribution centres in the Federal Capital Territory and other parts of Nigeria.

New Emir Of Kano to Emerge Today

Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Saturday said the state government will announce a new Emir of Kano on Sunday (today).

The governor said this after receiving the emirate’s kingmakers at the Government House, Kano.

The new emir will succeed Ado Bayero, who passed on in the early hours of Friday after an undisclosed ailment and was buried in Kano a few hours later in accordance with Islamic rites.

Man Spends 4 Years in Prison Over Police Failure to Identify Real Culprit

After spending four years at the prison while facing an armed robbery trial, an accused, Tega Okokushe, has been discharged and acquitted by a Lagos High Court in Ikeja, for failure of the police to identify the real culprit.

The defendant was said to have been arrested by the Ojo police who accused him of having robbed one Chika Obi at his residence in Iba, dispossessing him of his laptop, phone and charger.

UNILAG Students Protest Hike in Registration Fee, Shut Down Campus

There's a protest currently going on at the University of Lagos. Students are protesting UNILAG authority demanding that some students pay N20,000 for late editing or registration of Course Forms.

The students first converged at the University's Senate Building where they shouted slogans and sang protest songs, demanding that the school ends this form of exploitation today, while accusing their VC of corruption. They left the senate building and went on a rampage through all the faculties in UNILAG demanding their rights.
