The 33-year-old opened up to Leno about how she felt being criticized by the media during her pregnancy, saying that it changed her.
"It really hurt my soul," she said. "It changed how I am in the public a little bit ... It was just really hard to read all these stories and hear all these nasty things. I think people sometimes question, like, or they think I'm out in hiding now. No, I just wanted to adjust my life a little bit. Why would I subject myself to so much negativity, especially now that I have a daughter? I just don't need that energy."
Kardashian also said her sexy swimsuit selfie was a "big middle finger to the world [to] everyone that called me fat."
