Guinness World Record- Man Attempts Second Entry By Typing With His Nose.


A world champion typist has set a bizarre world record by typing with his nose. Mohammed Khurshid Hussain, 23, wrote a 103-character sentence in just 47 seconds after practicing his technique for six hours a day, the International Business Times reported.

If this amazing feat is confirmed by the Guinness World Records organisers, he will smash the record previously set by an Indian in 2008 at a time of one minute and 33 seconds.

Fuel Scarcity: Petrol Sells for N120 per Litre in Osun


Osogbo – A litre of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sold for N120 in Osogbo, the Osun capital, and its environs on Saturday, following the biting fuel scarcity in parts of the country.

The last few days has seen the return of the long queues to the filling station. This development has led to PMS now selling for more than the stipulated N97 pump price.

Indian Couple Killed for Practising Witchcraft

A couple was beaten to death by their neighbours for allegedly practicing witchcraft in a Bihar village. Three people have been arrested for the killings, police said Thursday.

The couple’s daughter was also injured in the attack.

Rameshwar Yadav and his wife Kaushalya Devi were attacked by their neighbours and beaten to death Wednesday night in Koyriyadih village in Gaya district, around 100 km from here, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd. Ali Ansari said.

CNN founder Ted Turner hospitalized in Argentina


AFP—Ted Turner, the CNN founder and American media tycoon turned philanthropist, was hospitalized during a trip to Argentina, a medical source said Friday, with reports suggesting he could have appendicitis.

A source at a private clinic in Bariloche, a tourist destination where Turner was admitted, confirmed to AFP that the 75-year-old, who owns property in the Argentine province of Neuquen, later discharged himself.

The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has explained how the Olusegun Obasanjo administration spent the loot recovered from the late maxiumn dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha.

She said that contrary to reports that the sum of $2bn was recovered from Abacha’s loot, only $500m was recovered under her watch when she was first made finance minister.

The minister made the clarification amidst conflicting figures about the actual amount recovered.

Sierra Leonean caught with N35million Cocaine in Soap Tablets


A 35-year-old Sierra Leonean, Sesay Micheal, has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency for importing cocaine in soap tablets into the country.

A statement by the NDLEA Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, said Micheal was arrested at the arrival hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos, during the inward screening of Etihad passengers.

He was on his way back from Brazil.

I sincerely cannot confirm that these are Nigerians but according to the person who sent the photo to me, they are Nigerians (and some citizens of other African countries) studying in Malaysia who were rounded up for not having complete papers. The sender said some of the students were arrested by immigration when they went to renew their visas, claiming they are living and schooling in Malaysia illegally. They want the Nigerian government to intervene and stop the harassment...
