West Brom In Historic Win over Man United

MANCHESTER – Morgan Amaltifano and Saido Berahino saw West Brom win at Old Trafford for the first time in 35 years as they beat Premier League champions Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday.

The Baggies, whose last triumph at Old Trafford was a 5-3 success in the old First Division in 1978, inflicted a third defeat in six league games on David Moyes’s United that left the hosts a lowly 12th in the table.

French midfielder Amaltifano, on loan from Marseille, opened the scoring with a fine solo effort just after the hour.

Miss Philippines Crowned Miss World 2013, Miss Ghana 3rd

The 2013 Miss World pageant held today Saturday September 28th at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali, Indonesia. Miss Philippines Megan Young (pictured left) beat 126 other contestants to win Miss World 2013. Miss France Marine Lorphelin was named runner-up, while Miss Ghana Carranzar Naa Okailey Shooter (pictured right) came third.

This drama just unfolded on twitter. Joy Bewaji is a writer and publicist. She claims Makosi, an Abuja based presenter has released her book, without her permission. According to her, Makosi begged her to make her a star, so they agreed on a book. Joy wrote the book for two months and after presenting it to Makosi, Joy said she rubbished it and said she didn't like it. Now Makosi just launched a book in Abuja, the same book. 44-Year Old Nigerian Woman Found Dead In her London Home

A 44-year old accountant and mother, Tolu Kalejaiye was found dead in her London home on Thursday. Police are still investigating who could have gained entrance into her £350,000 home to stab her to death. Shortly after her body was discovered, her 21-year old son, Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye, who lives with her was suspected by the Police to have committed the crime. Her neighbors have described her as a gentle hardworking lady who is very pleasant. Her son has been charged to court today.

About 13,000 soldiers from seven countries (Thailand, United States, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia) participated in Cobra Gold 2013, a joint, multi-national military training exercise which focuses on maintaining and improving military-to-military relationships among nations.
And the training has been hosted annually by Thailand since 1982.

During this year's training, Thai soldiers got to show the U.S. Marines how to catch a cobra with their bare hands, as well as drink the snake blood to survive.

Trailer Crushes Five PEOPLE In Ibadan

IT was a pathetic sight yesterday at Eleyele in Ibadan North West Local Government area of Ibadan when an articulated lorry crushed about five persons. One young lady was crushed beyond recognition while four other persons sustained serious injuries. The accident happened around 12:25pm some metres away from Eleyele roundabout.

The truck which was marked XA 178 BDG loaded more than one hundred bags of cement and was coming from Dugbe end before the accident happened.
