Court orders arrest of Edo Deputy Police Commissioner

BENIN—AN Edo State High Court sitting in Benin, has ordered the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Funsho Adebanjo to arrest the state Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department, CID, Mr. Joshua Ibine, for allegedly releasing accused persons on bail, while their application for bail was pending before the court.

Assault on Nigerian in South Africa: FG Seeks legal action

ABUJA – The Federal Government has demanded for appropriate administrative and legal action from the South African government against two of its officers from the Police Service in Cape-Town over an assault on one Nigerian, Mr Clement Emekeneh.

The two officers were, on Friday, March 8, 2014, reported by a local television (ETV) in the country, to have assaulted and beaten an unidentified individual who was later confirmed to be a Nigerian.

Pastor In Court For Cutting Off two-year-old Girl's Fingers

The Sabo Police Station on Tuesday arraigned a 49-year-old pastor, Moyo Martins, before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly cutting off the fingers of a two-year-old child, Saidat Faleye.

The incident happened on Olumo Street, Iwaya Onike, Yaba, Lagos State. It was learnt that the mother of the victim, Mrs. Bola Faleye, had left her in the care of Martins on Thursday, when she wanted to take her bath.

Lagos police arrest notorious cult leader

A leader of a notorious cult group at Somolu known as the EFCC boys, Adebayo, aka Ogbor, has been arrested by the police.

Ogbor was reportedly arrested by policemen attached to the Alade Police Division around 6pm at a joint close to Abiodun Bus Stop. He was said to be drinking at the time with other hoodlums. Ogbor was alleged to have actively participated in the release of a suspect known as Friday from the police custody about a week ago.
