Nana Abdullahi, died on Friday at the age of 54.Her husband, Abubakar, Coordinator, National Open University of Nigeria, Dutse centre, confirmed her death on telephone on Friday.

Abubakar said she died during an illness at a private hospital in Dutse on March 5.
The deceased was Solicitor General, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice from 2000 to 2005 before her appointment as high court judge in 2010.

A newborn girl is on life support at a Bronx hospital after a drunken off-duty firefighter crashed into the baby’s mother that forced her to give birth two months prematurely, court documents state.

FDNY Lt. Sean Farrell, 39, who was also busted for driving drunk in 2010, struck Mantaz Begum, 42, as the expectant mom crossed a Parkchester street on her way home at about 6 p.m., according to authorities and court papers.

Miss Omolade Ogungbamigbe, one of the 13 students of Ogba Junior Grammar School, Ojodu Local Council Development Area, LCDA, yesterday recounted how she and her mates escaped death after they inhaled poisonous fumes in their school.

The parents of the 13 pupils however asked the state government to conduct a thorough investigation to detect the source of the emission and to forestall future discharge of the poisonous fumes.

I read the other lady's predicament on this blog a few days ago and sadly I am in the same situation. The spark has gone from my marriage barely a year after it was contracted. My marriage wasn't what I expected it to be and sometimes I wish I were single again. But unlike the other lady, my husband is not a brute and I am not willing to give up on this marriage without at least trying. We don't have any children yet and a good friend advised me to have a child and it will bring my husband and I closer together again. Is this for sure? Because I don't want my children to come from a broken home so I am worried about getting pregnant for a man and a marriage I am no longer sure of. What do you fellow readers think?
