Pastor, 3 Others Paraded Over Alleged Bank robbery

Lagos – The police in Lagos on Thursday paraded four suspected armed robbers, including a pastor, whose gang specialises in attacking banks.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr Umar Manko, who paraded the suspects, also displayed 12 AK-47 rifles, two K2 rifles, 30 fully loaded AK-47 magazines and one pump action gun.

Geology Graduate Jailed 7 Years for Conspiracy, Robbery

YENAGOA — A Yenagoa high court presided over by Justice Nayai Aganaba, Friday, sentenced a graduate of Geology from the University of Calabar, Okonkwo Michael, to seven years in jail for conspiracy and robbery of N200,000.

Okonkwo Michael, according to the prosecution, had in 2011 conspired with one Innocent Ebere, trailed a driver and staff of the Bayelsa State Judicial Service Commission, Monday Ikisa, from a first generation bank along the Imgbi road of the state capital and dispossessed him of N200,000 at gun point.

Woman Bites Off Neighbor's Ear Over N500

Lagos — A 32-year-old woman, Bilikisu Okanlawon, was yesterday arraigned at a Tinubu magistrate’s court, Lagos, for allegedly biting off the ear of her neighbour.

Okanlawon, who resides at Ajegunle St., Lakowe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, was alleged to have bitten off the left ear of one Christy Edo during a brawl between them.
