Former Israeli Prime minister Ariel Sharon Dead After Spending 8 Years in Coma

Ariel Sharon passed away today aged 85 after suffering multiple organ collapse.

The 85-year-old had been in a coma since having a devastating stroke in January 2006 while still in office. Israeli Army Radio announced the death, and his son Gilad later confirmed to reporters: 'He has gone. He went when he decided to go.'

At a press conference this afternoon, Professor Shlomo Noy of the Sheba Medical centre said he 'departed peacefully with his family at his side'.

The pop star turned cleric said he is ready to give it another try, despite that fact he had failed twice.
Okotie disclosed that he would contest for Presidency under the Fresh Democratic Party, a platform he founded but which was de-registered by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, last year.

21 Year Old Man Set Himself On Fire Taraba Because of Love

A 21-year-old man, Mansur Tanko, on Friday, burnt himself to death in Jalingo, after a disagreement with his father, Tanko Mijinyawa, over marriage.

Tanko, according to an eyewitness, Alhaji Jibrin Bala, set himself ablaze because his family refused to approve his wedding with a girl, Blessing.The eyewitness told sympathisers that Tanko introduced Blessing to his father as his proposed wife, but the father kicked against the union, describing it as a bad choice.

13-yr old boy Awal commits suicide in Ondo

A 13 year old primary five pupil, Awal Osisi has committed suicide in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

But the police in the state is working at some puzzles surrounding the alleged death of the boy just as his step mother is being detained. Saturday Vanguard gathered that the boy committed suicide in his parents’ house located at High School area of Akure.

Man Utd: FA Charges David Moyes With Misconduct

Manchester United manager David Moyes has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association.

It is in relation to comments made after Tuesday’s 2-1 League Cup semi-final first-leg loss to Sunderland when Moyes, 50, said United are “beginning to laugh at referees” for their “terrible” decisions.

He added that they are “playing referees as well as the opposition”.
Moyes has until 18:00 GMT on Wednesday, 15 January to respond to the charge.
