Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar shared his #BringBackOurGirls picture on his facebook page and a lot of people didn't find it funny with him. Some openly told him he's got a hand in their disapperance and should be arrested cause he is a suspect.

#BringBackOurGirls: President Jonathan Rejects Swapping Boko Haram Prisoners For Kidnapped Schoolgirls

Barely hours after it was reported that Nigerian terror group, Boko Haram, who kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls in Chibok, Borno State are seeking a prisoner swap for jailed comrades, the Federal Government of Nigeria have allegedly said that it won't swap Boko Haram prisoners for abducted schoolgirls, according to AFP.

Earlier today the terrorist group released a new video message in which they purported to show some of the hundreds of girls they have captured from a town in the north-east of the country.

The governor of Nigeria’s Borno state says he has information on the whereabouts of about 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by Islamist group Boko Haram.

Governor Kashim Shettima said he had passed reports of the sightings of the girls to the military for verification. Mr Shettima added that he did not think the girls had been taken across the border to Chad or Cameroon.

Sanusi Floors FRCN In Court


The embattled suspended governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria, Lamido Sanusi, on Monday floored the Federal government as a Federal High Court in Lagos, barred the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRCN, from investigating him.

Delivering the judgment which lasted almost two hours, John Tsoho declared that the federal high court has the jurisdiction to adjudicate on the matter brought before it by the suspended CBN governor.

David Luiz to complete €40m Barca move


David Luiz will complete a  (£33.6m) move to Barcelona after the World Cup, it has been claimed in the Spanish press.

Catalan newspaper Sport suggest that defender has agreed to sign for the Catalan giants, with Chelsea happy to let him leave for €40m.

Onyeka Onwenu expresses reservations on missing girls, calls out Wole Soyinka


Iconic singer Onyeka Onwenu, who is the current DG of National Centre for Women Development, was a guest on Channels TV Sunrise programme this morning Monday May 12th where she spoke about the missing Chibok girls. She expressed her reservations about the case and also called out Professor Wole Soyinka for referring to the First Lady as 'that woman' in the interview he had with CNN's Christiane Amanpour.

Jobless man arrested for hijacking bus in Japan


Japanese police on Monday arrested a 45-year-old man on charges of taking a bus driver and passenger’s hostage with scissors in south-western Japan.

The police said no one was injured in the incident, but the unemployed suspect demanded a meeting with his relatives in the city.

#BringBackOurGirls: Hundreds protest in Ghana over Chibok schoolgirls


Hundreds of women on Sunday staged a peaceful protest in Accra, Ghana, against the kidnap of over 200 students of Government Girls’ Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state, by Boko Haram.

The women marched through some major streets of Accra and ended at the Nigerian High Commissioner’s premises where a petition signed by over 300 people was presented to the High Commissioner.

The protesters carried placards with various inscriptions, and chanted solidarity songs to bring back the kidnapped girls.

England manager Roy Hodgson has taken a gamble on the fitness of Arsenal duo Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and named the pair in his 23-man World Cup squad.

Wilshere made his comeback from his latest setback at Norwich on Sunday having been out since early March after he injured his ankle on international duty in a collision with Liverpool's Daniel Agger.

SOULJA BOY Calls Cops Over 'STOLEN' BENTLEY'



Soulja Boy's stolen Bentley was magically recovered last night in a matter of hours ... because it was never stolen in the first place ... TMZ has learned. 

According to our sources, Soulja called police to his home last night to report his Bentley had gone missing. We're told cops told Soulja he'd have to come in to file a report.

But before he could, we're told Soulja found out his manager had simply borrowed the sweet ride, but Soulja never got the message.

Mother Abandons Day-Old baby in Lagos


An unidentified mother has dumped a day-old baby by the road side in Lagos. The baby, a male child, was abandoned at a point near Abule Onigbagbo Bus Stop, Ikeja. PUNCH Metro gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday.

The baby was wrapped with an ankara and left to either be rescued by passersby or die.

Kim Kardashian is celebrating her first Mother's Day as a mom.

The reality TV star shared a very sweet snap with her daughter North West on Instagram this morning, showing the two laying together on a fur rug inside her nursery. Looking at Kim's white dress and pearls, it appears the photo was taken during her bridal shower on Saturday.

Video of dozens of abducted school girls has been released by Boko Haram. The girls, numbering about 130, said to be held at Sambisa forest, a border between Cameroon and Nigeria, are seen seeing praying Arabic.

In the video, Boko Haram leader said he's ready to do a deal to free some or all the girls. He said;

"We will never release them unless our brethren are released. It's been 6 years you held our brethren and torturing them. We will not release the girls until you free our brothers"He also mentioned that the girls have been converted to Muslims. The girls are believed to be held in six different locations. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling Finally Apologizes for Racist Comment


L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling has finally apologized for the racist remarks he made while chastising his bi-racial girlfriend for posting black people on her Instagram page. Speaking with CNN's Anderson Cooper in an exclusive interview set to air today, Donald, 81, said he's not racist.

"When I listen to that tape, I don't even know how I can say words like that.... I don't know why the girl had me say those things."

Family Accuses Yam Seller of Killing Bricklayer


A yam seller at Itam Market, Itu Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, identified simply as Sunny, has been accused of killing an 18-year-old bricklayer, Ekemini Etim.

Sunny, an indigene of Ebonyi State, was said to have invited Ekemini to his uncompleted building to collect N3,500 that he (Sunny) owed him.

Hacking: Nigerian banks reject foreign ATM cards


The Central Bank of Nigeria’s cash-less policy drive is facing threats as majority of the Automated Teller Machines in the country are rejecting ATM cards issued by foreign lenders for fear of possible invasion by hackers.

Sources revealed that Nigerian banks were refusing to grant access on their terminals to ATM cards issued by foreign banks.

Nigerian Immigration reacts to Davido's claims of harrassment by their officers


A few days ago, Davido tweeted that he missed his flight to London because of immigration officers who were harassing him at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja because of money. The Nigerian Immigration Service has responded to Davido's claims.

In a statement released today by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Emeka Obua, they said Davido had approached immigration officers at MMIA on the fateful day with the intention of travelling out of the country and presented a US passport number 460918874 issued at Georgia on Dec. 14, 2009 and valid till December 14, 2019.

Boko Haram Received $3 Million Seed Money from Osama Bin Laden – Report


According to a report by some intelligence analysts in the United States, violent sect Boko Haramreceived $3 million from the late founder of al-Qaeda Osama Bin Laden, as far back as 2002.

Jungle justice: Lagos vows to deal with perpetrators


Lagos—Lagos State government has threatened to punish any resident who attempted to carry out jungle justice on suspected criminals in the state.

In a statement by the state Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Ade Ipaye, made available to Vanguard at the weekend, it noted that in recent times, Lagosians have embarked on the habit meting out instant punishment by lynching, burning or killing suspected criminals.

33 Year old Oyoma Edewor Allegedly Killed in Festac by the police


Friends of late Oyoma Edewor (pictured above) reached out to me to put the info out there that he was allegedly shot dead by a police sergeant attached to the Festac Command at the 3rd Gate check point inFestac, Lagos, on Saturday night May 10th.

According to the story, 33 year old Oyoma, who was a Building Finishing Contractor, had a slight accident somewhere around Lekki, and instead of leaving the car there to obstruct traffic, he decided to get a towing van to take it to Festac where he lives.

#BringBackOurGirls: Nigerians in UK hold intercessory prayers


A cross section of Nigerians in the UK on Sunday held a prayer session for Nigeria and President Goodluck Jonathan as part of their spiritual contributions to end attacks by insurgents.

The intercessory prayer came against the backdrop of the abduction of about 240 school girls in Chibok, Borno, Nigeria.

The prayer session, which was held at the Fathers House International Church London, was organised by the UK Chapter of Goodluck Support Group (GSG).

#BringBackOurGirls: Police try to stop protesters from gathering at Abuja park (PHOTOS)


The Nigerian police yesterday afternoon tried to stop protesters from gathering at the Unity fount for a #BringBackOurGirls sit-in in Abuja. The police didn't want the peaceful meeting to happen and sent officers to the location to disperse the few that gathered there and stopped many from coming to the meeting.
