30 year old Nwode Chukwudi Awam, was arrested last week for beheading his father, 56 year old Michael Awam and eating his neck. The Ebonyi State Police Command, who paraded the killer on Thursday April 3rd, said the incident occurred at Egwudinagu Obegu village in Ebonyi LGA of the state.

Robbers kill contractor, shoot 12-year-old daughter in Lagos

A gang of robbers on Sunday shot dead a 59-year-old contractor, Alhaji Yusuf Surajudeen, in his home located on Adebola Street in the Ogudu, Ojota area of Lagos State. Surajudeen’s 12-year-old daughter, Aisha, was also shot in the face during the operation which lasted for less than an hour.

Military Chiefs Are Assisting Boko Haram, Soldier Claims

A soldier has claimed that he witnessed incidents that suggested some military chiefs work with Boko Haram insurgents in the North-East. The soldier told the Voice of America Hausa Service how his military unit in Borno State was ambushed by Boko Haram members.

He said the commander of a nearby military unit in Bama recently sought assistance from his unit in carrying out a raid.

Gunmen Invade Ogun Church, Murder 70-yr-old Man

ABEOKUTA — Pandemonium broke out, yesterday, in Ijebu Igbo in Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State when gunmen invaded St. John Anglican Church, Oke Sopein, and shot dead a 70 year old man, Otunba Tola Okuneye, A.K.A. Ajagajigi.

According to Vanguard, about 10 gunmen arrived in two vehicles, entered the church and shot the man on the head.
