Gunmen kill Deputy Controller of Prisons in Sokoto


Gunmen on Wednesday killed the Deputy Controller of Prisons in charge of the Sokoto Central Prison, Alhaji Usman Gwandu, at SARDA Quarters in Sokoto. The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that the gunmen, who fled the scene after the attack, were said to have rained bullets on Gwandu's vehicle. They did not, however, take anything from the vehicle.
