US reality star and former beauty queen Kenya Moore hasn't gone on record to deny that Nigerian businessman, MD of Sahara Group Tonye Cole is her famous 'African Prince', as it's being rumoured (readhere) but she subtly did when she tweeted a pic of the billionaire businessman and his wife as he graduated from Harvard Law School recently. No side chick tweets a pic of her man with his wife abi? So maybe Mr Cole is not the African Prince after all. Or maybe the African Prince doesn't exist.

Boko Haram: Boy Confesses to Burning houses in Borno Village for N2,000

A young man, named, Ibrahim Tilitili was said to have been paid the sum of two thousand Naira (N2,000), to burn down few houses at Mandara Girau village in Biu local government area of Borno state.

Ibrahim, Chibok by tribe and resident of Mandara Girau village confessed that one Mallam Sani also a resident of the Village gave him the amount and instructed him to set some of the houses in the village on fire.

Deeper Life pastor, Eric Abakporo, sentenced to 6yrs for Real Estate fraud

A pastor with Deeper life Bible Church and a former Brooklyn-based civil attorney Ifeanyichukwu Eric Abakporo, was yesterday May 28th sentenced to 6 years imprisonment by a US Federal High Court for defrauding banks, mortgage lenders, property owners, and property buyers in America.

Prosecutors say Mr Abakporo and his accomplice, Latanya Pierce, carried out the illegal transactions for over nine years. They were convicted in a wide-ranging series of illegal transactions in New York city over a 9-year stretch, dating back to 2003. His accomplice, Latanya Pierce was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment.

Pastor Abakporo was immediately handcuffed out of the courtroom with his wife and his 2 children present in the court room wailing as he was taken away.

Lagos police, FERMA task force men clash

SURE-P/FERMA Task Force officials arrested by the police in Lagos... on Wednesday.

There was pandemonium on Wednesday as policemen attached to the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit and officials of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme/ Federal Road Maintenance Agency Task Force clashed in the Toll Gate area of the state.

Over 200 FERMA task force officials were arrested and clamped in three Black Marias brought by the police into the camp of the federal workers.

Panic as Explosion Rocks Abuja this Morning

There was panic in the Kurudu, Jikoyi community in the outskirt of Abuja this morning after a loud explosion was heard. Residents in the area were reportedly seen running for safety when they heard the loud bang.

Nigerian Sentenced to 27 Years Imprisonment in Cambodia

23 year old Precious Chineme Nwoko (pictured above) has been sentenced to 27 years imprisonment by a Cambodian Court for drug trafficking in Cambodia.

Police sources say Nwoko was a ringleader in a heroin smuggling cartel in Cambodia. He was arrested last month for handing a backpack containing 2.2 kilos (4.8 pounds) of heroin to two women, 41year old Australian Yoshe Ann Taylor and 19 year old French Charlene Savarino, for onward transportation to an unidentified man in Australia. Both women were however caught and arrested.

#BringBackOurGirls: 90% of Protesters are APC Members, Says Labaran Maku

The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, on Wednesday alleged that about 90 per cent of protesters campaigning for the release of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok, Borno State, are members of the All Progressives Congress.

He also said that President Goodluck Jonathan had performed miracle with the achievements recorded by his administration in three years.

AGAIN: Anothe 40 Killed in Fresh Boko Haram attack

Forty people were killed on Wednesday in a fresh attack by gunmen on a border community in Borno State.

The gunmen were said to have arrived at Gurmushi, Marte Local Government Area and opened fire on the residents in their houses and those on their way to the mosque for Subhi, an early morning Muslim prayer.

N49.8b: Senate report clears NNPC, Deziani, says no money missing

The Senate Committee on Finance which investigated the NNPC over allegations of fraud leveled against it by the suspended Governor of the Central Bank, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, today Wednesday May 28th submitted its report to the Senate saying no funds were missing, The Will Nigeria reports.

Sanusi had spuriously claimed in a leaked letter to President Goodluck that $49.8 billion in crude oil revenue was missing.
