Simultaneous Bomb Attack Kills 26 In Niger

Suicide bombers in Niger detonated two car bombs simultaneously yesterday, one inside a military camp in the city of Agadez and another in the remote town of Arlit at a French operated uranium mine, killing a total of 26 people and injuring 30, according to officials in Niger and France.

A surviving attacker took a group of soldiers hostage, and authorities were attempting to negotiate their release.

Police arrest man who sold his baby, others in Lagos

TWENTY-seven-year-old Chibueze Mba, who sold his baby for N30, 000 and another unborn baby of his for N200,000 and three others have been arrested for multiple babies theft and sales by police in Lagos State. The arrested suspects and two others at large , until their arrest formed a syndicate that stole babies from many parts of Nigeria and sold the male ones for N400, 000 and females for N300, 000.

A boy who was stolen when he was just two months old and was sold for N400, 000 in Onitsha, but has been rescued by the police now at one year, two months old.

Hoodlums Snatch Woman’s Bag With Dirty Pants

Rampaging armed hoodlums at Ibusa, near Asaba, Delta State, snatched a lady’s bag reportedly containing dirty pants and shot the driver in the car they operated dead.

Reports say the lady-victim identified as Stella (surname withheld) the owner of the bag was said to have boarded a commercial taxi with registration number AA-234XX from her house to her grand mother’s place during which the unsuspecting hoodlums joined her in the same car.

Jail Break: We Lost 45 Officers To Boko Haram Attacks – Prisons Boss

No fewer than 45 prisons wardens, including senior officers, have so far been murdered during jailbreaks in various prisons formations by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

The comptroller general of prisons, Mr Zakari Ohino Ibrahim who disclosed this during an interactive session with newsmen on the security situation in the country, said the wardens were ambushed and killed while on official duty.
