Dana Air Begins Payment Compensation To Victims Families

Dana Air has started paying the compensation due to families who lost family members in the ill – fated Dana Air crash. The insurance firm representing Dana Air wrote out checks to about nine families as insurance compensation benefits for relations who died in the crash. This action is a direct observation of the mandatory requirement by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) that requires interim benefits be paid to the families of the victims within 30 days of the accident.

As regards the other families, the airline’s management said that families who have submitted the necessary details to DANA Air’s Crisis Management Centre (CMC) in Lagos and Abuja should come forward to the chambers of Yomi Oshikoya & Co, appointed by the insurers in Lagos, in order to conclude advance payment formalities.
