Police Prosecutor, Inspector Abiodun Fagboyinbo, told the court that the accused allegedly committed the offence on November 4, at about 5p.m. at Oosa Compound, Ile Ogbo, in Ayedire Local Government Area of the state.

34 Year Old Man Rapes 13 Year to death in Ekiti, dumps body in farm

A 34-year-old man who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl to death at Eyio Ekiti; Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State has been arrested.

Police spokesman, Mr Victor Babayemi, said that the suspect had been arrested and presently in custody. The suspect, Mr. Sunday, a labourer, is from Cross Rivers State. He reportedly tricked the girl into a Cocoa plantation and raped her to death.

Ex Local Governemnt Chairman Jailed SIX Months for N7m FRAUD

A Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, on Wednesday sentenced a former Chairman of Davi Local Government Area, Mr. Enesi Jimoh, to six months in prison without an option of fine. Justice I. E Ekwo convicted the politician after finding him guilty of converting N7m belonging to the council to personal use while in office.

The money was meant for the provision of borehole for communities in the council area.

Two DEAD as Government convoy Causes Accident in Lagos

Two persons were killed on Wednesday, while no fewer than nine others were injured after a tipper rammed into pedestrians at the U-turn end of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The tipper was said to be avoiding a government convoy of seven vehicles that allegedly drove recklessly into the expressway from a side road. The incident was said to have occurred between 11am and 12pm.
