Kano Police operatives, acting on intelligence, tracked and recovered a Mitsubishi Station Wagon car, ash in colour, with registration number Kano – AE 756 GSW loaded with assorted gas cylinders, one container of fuel and other electrical components of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The vehicle was recovered at Tafawa Balewa Street, Nasarawa area of Kano State and has since been rendered safe by Police Bomb Disposal experts.

31 Children Die as Bus Explodes In Colombia
Thirty-one children were burned to death when their bus caught fire and exploded in northern Colombia on Sunday, the Red Cross said.

LAGOS—Boko Haram, which abducted more than 200 schoolgirls in Borno a month ago, has backed down on its demand for a release of its top commanders by government before the abducted girls could be released.
It has also emerged that President Goodluck Jonathan has banned all his ministers and presidential spokespersons from commenting on any issue relating to the campaign by the Federal Government to rescue the girls. This came as the Defence headquarters warned against unauthorised visits to the areas of operation by tourists and journalists, saying such venture was risky.

Woman Banned From Ranting About Ex-Husband on Facebook
A state appellate court has ruled that a New Jersey mother's rights were not violated when a judge barred her from ranting about her children and ex-husband on Facebook.
Mycentraljersey.com reports the judge's order was a "special condition" of a probation sentence the woman received in 2011. The case stemmed from her alleged attempt to kidnap her two children and take them to Canada.
The order was imposed after her ex-husband's family and Hunterdon County prosecutors argued that the woman's Facebook postings were frightening.
The woman claimed the order violated her Constitutional right to due process because it was too vague. She also argued it violated her free speech rights.
The appellate panel disagreed, finding the order was specific and didn't prevent her from blogging about other issues.

A pickup truck driver made a lucky escape after his
vehicle crashed into the side of a New Jersey bridge, leaving it
dangling precariously above the Hackensack River.
Police say the driver was towing a
jeep on Route 46 in Little Ferry on Saturday afternoon when his brakes
suddenly locked. The truck lost control and struck two cars, then
crashed through the side wall of a bridge. Scaffolding from a billboard
stopped the truck from plummeting.
The driver was able to climb out onto the billboard until crews pulled him to safety. He only suffered minor injuries.
