Fashola urges residents to be security conscious during Easter festivities

Lagos – The Lagos State Government on Thursday announced that residents of the state would enjoy free bus rides on Easter Monday, on its LAGBUS Asset Management Ltd buses. This as Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State urged residents to be security conscious and to report unusual situations during the Easter period.

Man beheads 2 Year-Old Boy, Rapes Mother in Ogun state

According to PM News, a middle aged man named Mamodu Bashir Ibrahim has been arrested by the Ogun State police command for behading a 2year old boy and raping the boy's mother inside an uncompleted building in a bush at Ofada town in Obafemi/Owode local government area of the State.

Woman Accuses Lagos DPO of Rape

A 31-year-old cook, Idowu Akinwunmi, has narrated how the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Onikan Station, SP Adekunle Awe, allegedly raped, extorted and threatened her life.

The victim told Metro that the incident occurred on April 15, 2014.

She explained that on April 14 she was arrested by the police for “spurious” reasons.

WAEC Parades Fake Website Operator

The authorities of the West African Examinations Council on Thursday in Lagos paraded a suspected fraudulent website operator, Mr. Raheem Abiodun, who hacked into the council’s website.

The WAEC Director of Administration, Mr. Stephen Taiwo, who paraded the suspect before journalists, said his arrest took place at Badagry on Wednesday as he tried to withdraw money paid into his account via an ATM.

Nigerian caught in India with heroin concealed in ladies shoes

A Nigerian man, Ozioma Kenneth Odeomenan has been arrested in New Delhi India with 330g of heroin worth $120,000 concealed in ladies shoes he was to export to America.

According to India police report, Ozioma was arrested after an anonymous tip-off they got on the 14th of April that a Nigerian man carrying hard drugs was coming to the Janakpuri metro station. A team of police officers laid a trap and apprehended Ozioma, who was found with 330 grams of heroin cleverly concealed in the specially made cavities in the soles of women’s sandals.
