A young female banker could not resist the desire to get into N46 million in the dormant bank account of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero.

The suspect, identified as Amina Magaji, embarked on a risqué operation to reactivate Emir’s account and to convert part of the balance there in to her use.

LAMIDO'S SUSPENSION: Ex CBN Governor Replies To Allegations Of Financial Recklessness

The embattled Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has finally broken the silence and replied to allegations of financial recklessness levelled against him by the Presidency and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

Sanusi has issued a multi-page statement in the morning of March 16, 2014, Sunday. He denied any wrongdoing, said he had already sent a detailed response to the Presidency.

Fire Guts NNPC Pipeline Network In Lagos

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Sunday confirmed a fire incident on the pipeline network of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Ijegun area of Lagos State.

Mr lbrahim Farinloye, SouthWest, NEMA spokesman, however, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone that nobody died in the incident.

Applicants had together gathered in the Abuja stadium to write the aptitude test to apply for jobs with the immigration Service. There are reports that the stampede in the Abuja centre left at least seven people killed and dozens injured during the test in Abuja.
