Jobless man arrested for hijacking bus in Japan

Japanese police on Monday arrested a 45-year-old man on charges of taking a bus driver and passenger’s hostage with scissors in south-western Japan.

The police said no one was injured in the incident, but the unemployed suspect demanded a meeting with his relatives in the city.

The police said the suspect confessed that he wanted to die and thought he would be arrested if he caused some big problem.

The police said he had earlier called local police on Sunday morning, asking them what he should do in order to be arrested.
