Oginni donates Police post to Odogbo-Ijesa community

The newly-crowned first Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesa, Olatunde Oginni, has built a Police post which he donated to Odogbo-Ijesa community. The three-room block was dedicated in an event witnessed by dignitaries and notable sons and daughters of the community who were full of appreciation to the Ibadan-based philanthropist.

Oginni, who declined to disclose the financial implication of the project while speaking with newsmen during the event, urged the community dwellers to be more law-abiding when the Police post becomes fully operational, adding that the gesture was his own contribution to the community policing scheme recently launched by the Nigeria Police.

Oginni, who is the chairman, Tiger Beach Group of Companies, maintained that the full cooperation of the people was what could help the Police in their job of securing them effectively, arguing that an all-round community development could only be possible in a secured environment.

The Police post is just one in the series of developmental projects Oginni had embarked upon in the community, as he had transformed the only community health centre in the town to a modern and standard clinic, with the provision of ambulance in case of an emergency. He had also dug an industrial borehole that was channelled through the village for provision of potable water.

He had also built lock-up shops at the market square and gave them out free to the predominantly-farmer women to sell their farm produce, while he had been distributing books periodically to pupils and students of the primary and secondary schools located within the community.Daily Jokes | Free Forex Signals | Ibadan City Network (Forum) | Small Business Guide
