A SCHOOLBOY wrestling fan allegedly murdered his five-year-old half-sister by mimicking the moves of his WWE heroes. The lad, 13, is accused of repeatedly slamming the girl on a bed, punching her in the stomach, jumping on her and striking her with his elbow.
He had been left to babysit her by his stepmother when the alleged beating occurred.
Although the girl cried in pain, the boy continued the brutal attack for up to three minutes, stopping only when his stepmum called on the phone to make sure the pair were OK, cops said.
Afterwards, the victim complained of a stomach ache. When she stopped breathing, the lad - who cannot be named for legal reasons - called the emergency services.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but failed to revive her. She died from multiple injuries, including broken ribs, lacerations of the liver and internal bleeding.
WWE has offered condolences to the victim’s family, from New Orleans, US, but warned against blaming the death on the wrestling industry.
It added: "As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death."
Police said: "The 13-year-old reported he started to wrestle with the victim and practiced ‘WWE’ style wrestling moves on the five-year-old."
