Manchester United manager David Moyes is looking to strengthen his squad at the end of the season with the addition of PSG star Edinson Cavani, according to The Daily Star. Moyes will look to add more quality in the summer following the January signing of Juan Mata and the Scotsman believes the 26-year-old will be a perfect player to partner the attacking trio of Van Persie, Mata and Rooney.
The Manchester United manager is still keen to add quality, with the team struggling to string together consistent results this season. If the transfer were to go though, a mouth watering partnership would form with the likes of Van Persie and Rooney.
In the past, Cavani has admitted his dream would be a move to the Premier League and he may move in the summer, after reports suggest the striker is far from settled in the French capital, despite scoring 20 goals in 30 games.
The forward had an impressive record in Serie A, scoring 78 goals in 102 appearances for Napoli and 34 in 109 games for Palermo. Cavani would fit in perfectly with the style of play in the Premier League, with his tireless work rate and ability to hold the ball up a key attribute in his game.
United will have to break the bank to wrap up the transfer of Cavani, with PSG likely to demand at least the fee of £50 million they paid 12 months ago. If the deal were to go through, it would break the transfer record broken only last month by Juan Mata, who secured a £37.1 million move.
