The gubernatorial elections in Kaduna were peaceful while Bauchi State saw a low turnout of voters, the scanty presence of security forces, and at least 20 agents of the Peoples Democratic Party at each polling station.
In Kaduna State, there was a large number of armed soldiers, police officers, civil defence personnel, and officers of the State Security Service at most polling stations while a Nigerian Air Force helicopter provided air surveillance.
