NSE Index up 1.08%, as Dangote Cement, Transcorp ,UAC Properties gains

Transaction on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange continued on a bullish trend on Thursday with a total of 253,996,086 shares worth N1.6 billion of shares exchanged hands in 4,106 deals while 28 equity stocks appreciated in price as against 23 that depreciated.The NSE market capitalisation rose to N7.181 trillion at the close of trading as against N7.104 trillion recorded Wednesday, representing a rise of 1.08 per cent while the NSE All share Index also rose by 1.08 per cent to stand at 22,492.96 as against 22,253.71 on Wednesday.

Dangote Cement Nigeria plc led the gainers' table with a gain of N0.20 kobo to close at N4.20 kobo per share, Transcorp plc gained N0.05 kobo to close at N1.05 kobo per share and UAC Properties plc gained N0.46kobo to close at N9.72kobo per share.

Honeywell Flour plc led the losers' chart by shedding N0.10 kobo to close at N1.90 kobo per share, followed by Japaul Oil Nigeria plc that shed N0.03 kobo per share to close at N0.62 kobo per share and Bagco plc N0.09 kobo per share to close at N1.89 kobo per share.
