West's "SNL" request isn't the first way he's publicly protected his reality star girlfriend. The "Watch the Throne" rapper gave the mom-to-be a confidence boost during his performance at the 2013 Met Gala.
"Kanye telling Kim not to worry what anyone says that she's awesome. Quite touching really," model Coco Rocha wrote on the Vine she posted of his Gala performance.
Kardashian was pleased with the shout out, later tweeting her own compliment to her beau of a year.
"Baby you're AWESOME," she wrote.
Kardashian seems to be taking the criticism in stride, although her swollen feet may say otherwise.The future mom tweeted a photo of her Givenchy-clad feet earlier this week. It looked pretty painful, thanks to the shoe's straps pushing against her tootsies.
"Swollen feet or a new Givenchy tattoo?" she tweeted.
While her fancy shoes look fabulous, why does Kardashian still insist on wearing sky-high heels this late into pregnancy? Kardashian says that she just feels more comfortable wearing heels.
"Flats just are uncomfortable to me. I feel my best when I'm wearing heels," she told "Entertainment Tonight" in March.
Overall, Kardashian's first pregnancy hasn't been easy, thanks to the constant criticism about her weight, style and choices. We're sure she'll love the end product - her child - but pregnancy wasn't kind to her.
"I was waiting for this amazing experience where I can just do whatever I want, eat whatever I want, feel great. And it just hasn't been great," Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest last month.
"I'm just in a lot of pain everywhere. It's a really painful thing. I'm in pain, physically."
