Just four days into a new school year and a teacher in South Florida has been arrested for sexual misconduct. Stevie Glasspool, 31, of Boca Raton, Florida, allegedly sought sex from teenage students at the Mavericks Charter High School in Pompano Beach where she worked until last year.
Police say Glasspool invited four teenagers, aged 15 and 17, to a sleepover at her Boca Raton home, enticing them by offering them illegal drugs.
Her invitation was of sexual nature, police said. One message stated: “I do not want you to fall in love with me, but I also do not want to hit it and quit it.”
Glasspool was fired from her teaching job at Mavericks. For the current school year she worked at the Hollywood Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Glasspool has been arrested and charged with soliciting a child for unlawful sexual conduct using computer services or devices, and is being held on $25,000 bond.
Detectives believe there could be more victims. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
