William “Billy” Ogan, 31, is accused of exposing himself and masturbating on a road near a soccer field in Spokane, Wash. on Sunday, according to KREM. Police received several calls about Ogan's alleged behavior and, when they confronted him, he reportedly told them he was "doing the Lord’s work."
The Spokesman-Review reports that Ogan also told police he was "working for Jehovah” and “spreading God’s word," on his wedding day. He was, according to Ogan, married to God.
Ogan is a registered sex offender who, in 2011, accepted a plea deal for riot and voyeurism charges after being accused of attempted rape.
Ogan is also hardly the only sex offender to find a lame excuse for his alleged crimes. In July, Florida's Romount Knowell was allegedly caught publicly masturbating, and authorities say he told them his pants fell down.
