The Prosecutor, Sgt. Atteh Effiong told the court that the offence was reported at the Life Camp Police Station on Nov. 26, by the mother of one of the boys.
Effiong said that the mother alleged that the herbalist, living in Jabi Dakibiyu, Abuja, had been having sexual intercourse with her son and another boy, both aged 13 since 2012.
The prosecutor told the court that Obey had during the period had sexual intercourse with the boys eight times.
Effiong said the offence contravened Section 284 of the Penal Code.
When the charge was read to him, Obey pleaded not guilty, and the Chief Magistrate, Mr Anthony Ogboyi, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with one reliable surety in like sum.
Ogboyi said the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court, and together with the accused, deposit their passport photographs to the court’s registry.
He adjourned the case to Feb. 7 for hearing. (NAN)
