Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka recently revealed that he refused to accept Nigeria's Centenary Award because sharing the Centenary Award with the late Head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha was an Insult.
In a statement entitled, ‘The canonisation of terror, Soyinka stated that by honouring Abacha, President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration had ridiculed Nigeria in the presence of world leaders by glorifying “murderers and thieves.”
This statement obviously did not go down well with one of the late Military dictator's daughters, Gumsu Sani Abacha who took to her facebook page to lash out at Soyinka.
