Rick Ross Arrested After Concert In North Carolina

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Rapper Rick Ross has been released after his arrest following a North Carolina concert.

Greensboro Police Department spokeswoman Susan Danielsen says that Ross was taken into custody Friday night after the SuperJam concert. She says a court had issued an order for his arrest because he failed to appear in court on a previous misdemeanor marijuana charge.

Beyonce and Jay-Z got one thing right during their overpriced, ultra-violent tour: they slammed Justin Bieber during their show the other night in Miami, showcasing Justin's mugshot in a montage of celebrity mugshots, claiming, "Even the greatest can fall."

England Fan’s Ear Bitten off During Uruguay Game

(AFP) – An England fan had his ear bitten off by another during the side’s World Cup game against Uruguay in Brazil, police in Britain said on Saturday.

The assault at the Group D game in Sao Paulo on 19 June left the man with half of his left ear ripped off and bloodied, they said.

A fan has made a complaint to police and the name of a suspect has been given to police, although no arrests have been made, the Association of Chief Police Officers said.

Wife Sentenced To 50 years For Killing Her Husband with Pliers and A Baseball Bat

BANGOR, Maine (AP) — A judge on Friday imposed a 50-year sentence on a woman convicted of killing her husband using pliers, a box cutter and a plastic baseball bat during a jealous rage.

Justice E. Allen Hunter, who previously described Roxanne Jeskey's actions as "monstrous savagery," told her he chose not to impose a life sentence because of her brain injury. Her lawyers argued that the injury contributed to mental problems, leading to the violent outburst in June 2011.
