Police are investigating the death of a Limpopo community leader.(SABC). A community leader has been shot dead in Limpopo's Mokopane area in a possible hit.
Piet Paale led the Mogalakwena Community Forum, which has been challenging the recent placing of the local municipality under administration.
“It is true that on Saturday at around 9pm, Mr Piet Paale, was at a local tavern near his home. It is alleged that he received a phone call, where he was asked to go somewhere. He went as far as about 400 meters, where he met his assailants. “
Mabuza adds that Paale was shot several times on his head and body.
“From there he tried to flee in his car in order for him to get help, but he hit the gate of his house and the car overturned. He died instantly.”
