Okay, there really isn't a Yankees sex line, so ladies don't call if you are hoping to speak with Derek Jeter, but there has been a change to an old phone number that may have some fans buzzing.
According to the New York Post on April 6, a toll-free phone number once used by the Yankees has a new owner that has nothing to do with baseball.
The Post reports "A Google search for “Yankees box office phone number” yields an old Yankees.com Web page with 800-913-9793, now a sex line.
“Welcome to America’s hottest talk line,” the recording says. “Guys, hot ladies are waiting to talk to you. Press 2 to connect free now.”
A spokeswoman for the Yankees said they stopped using that number back in 2009, but when you Google for ticket information it still appears.
Yankees fans who want tickets to an upcoming game can call 1-800-YANKEES.
