Arsenal lead Suarez chase after Real MADRID Pull Out

ARSENAL are in pole position to sign Luis Suarez after Real Madrid pulled out of the running to bag him. Now Suarez and his agent will look to sort out his contract wrangle with Liverpool to clinch a £40million-plus move to the Emirates.

Madrid sources are claiming new Bernabeu manager Carlo Ancelotti has decided that he does not need another striker despite selling Gonzalo Higuain to Napoli this week.

Ancelotti believes he already has enough strike power in Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema.

The former Chelsea chief also wants to give more opportunities to the club’s Spanish Under-21 stars Jese Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata.

A club insider told sports paper Marca: “We believe in Jese and Morata and they deserve this chance. They are also very good. We are not going to sign a new forward.”

The sensational latest development leaves the way clear for Arsenal to crank up the pressure on Liverpool and ends any prospect of a bidding war.

Suarez and Liverpool are arguing over whether he has a release clause.

In 2007 the hitman took Dutch club Groningen to arbitration when they refused to sell him to Ajax. And though he lost, he still got his move the same day when Ajax increased their offer.
