England ace 'angry' at being behind Robin van Persie
FUMING Wayne Rooney is ready to storm out of Man United because he does not want to play second fiddle to Robin van Persie.
The England striker is said to be “angry and confused” after new manager David Moyes signalled he was no longer first choice.
It is believed the £250,000-a-week star feels insulted by his treatment after nine years at Old Trafford.
Anger ... David Moyes and Wayne Rooney
He has scored 198 goals since his £26million move from Everton and a close source said: “He doesn’t believe he should play second fiddle to anyone after all he has done.” The ace feels he is at his peak.
Rooney, 27, had to return injured from a pre-season tour and could now hand in a transfer request.
His love affair with United appeared to hit the rocks in 2010 when he was linked with a switch to bitter rivals Manchester City.

Last August, then manager Sir Alex Ferguson brought in Arsenal’s goal machine van Persie and in March stoked speculation by not starting Rooney for the Champions League showdown with Real Madrid.
Rooney saw red again when Moyes told reporters in Thailand: “My thought on Wayne is that if we had an injury to Robin van Persie we are going to need him and I want as many options as possible.”
According to sources, Rooney has communicated with the club and made his feelings known.
United insist Rooney is NOT for sale.
