Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday discovered a 600-acre hemp farm at Ode-Ekiti in the Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State. Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti, Commandant of the NDLEA in Ekiti, Mr Dele Akingbade said the hemp farm was the largest individually-owned hemp farm in Ekiti.

A 26- year-old man, Ikechukwu Okoro practically flogged his only son, three-year-old Chinedu to death in Ebonyi State on Sempteber 13, 2013. According to shocked neighbours, Ikechukwu who lives with his only son woke up by 4.30 am on the fateful day to discover that the sick boy had defecated on the bed.

Emotions ran high recently at the Bar Beach Police Division in Lagos following revelation by a teenage girl of how her 57-year-old father, Mr Nwafor Ikoro, had been forcefully having intercoursé with her in the last three months, while giving her N200 as pocket money to school.

Gunmen suspected to be members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect struck Yobe State College of Agriculture in the early hours of Sunday today, killing at least 50 students of College of Agriculture, Gujba.

The bodies of the victims are currently being picked from bush and hostels, where the gunmen shot the harmless students. Injured students were moved to Damaturu Specialist Hospital. While surviving students have fled the College.

Citizens of Scott Township, Pa., are in a nutty battle over a set of concrete pillars that some people feel look like concrete penises.

The pillars, actually bollards, were recently erected to keep traffic from driving into nearby structures. Four were installed at a bus stop near a church while six others are arrayed across the street, Philly.com reported.

In theory, most locals were behind the idea, but the elongated shape and rounded top of the pillars have aroused the wrong kind of community, according to resident Pat Martin.

A group of unknown gunmen raided Zangang township in Attakar Chiefdom of Kaura local government area in the troubled Southern Kaduna state. The attackers suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have killed 11 persons in the early hours of September 28, 2013, Saturday.

This drama just unfolded on twitter. Joy Bewaji is a writer and publicist. She claims Makosi, an Abuja based presenter has released her book, without her permission. According to her, Makosi begged her to make her a star, so they agreed on a book. Joy wrote the book for two months and after presenting it to Makosi, Joy said she rubbished it and said she didn't like it. Now Makosi just launched a book in Abuja, the same book. A 44-year old accountant and mother, Tolu Kalejaiye was found dead in her London home on Thursday. Police are still investigating who could have gained entrance into her £350,000 home to stab her to death. Shortly after her body was discovered, her 21-year old son, Oludotun Emmanual Kalejaiye, who lives with her was suspected by the Police to have committed the crime. Her neighbors have described her as a gentle hardworking lady who is very pleasant. Her son has been charged to court today.

She will be celebrating her birthday later today at Aura Night club on the Island with Denrele hosting the red carpet.
