I rejected money to campaign for Jonathan –Eedris

Fiery musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has dared his musical colleague, Dbanj, to come and stand on the side of the people and see if he would be treated with the same respect and love the people accorded other musicians that did not “campaign for Jonathan”. While speaking at the ongoing rally at Ojota, Eedris called out stars that supported Jonathan and specifically mentioned D’Banj using four-letter word against him.In a telephone chat with Sunday Sun, Eedris, who has a history of face-offs with colleagues, said D’Banj didn’t think well before supporting Jonathan.

“I was offered money too to campaign for Jonathan, but I refused because I knew it would end like this. Let him (D’Banj) come to where the people are and see how they would react to him. Yes, I said those things and I am standing by it. I didn’t eat government’s money, so I cannot be afraid of the people. But he and others cannot come out and stand on the side of the people now because they collected money; they should vomit it.”

Eedris whose face-off with aides of American rapper, 50 Cent and Ruggedman, gave him a confrontational reputation, was last week reported to have assaulted fellow label-mate, Jaywon, to a pulp over an argument.
The incident led Jaywon to say that Eedris was ‘envious and jealous’ of him in a national newspaper.
Eedris described the issue as “family affair” and directed Sunday Sun to speak to the label CEO, Kenny Ogungbe.

But the A & R for Kennis Music, Shola Ijanusi, said Jaywon was misquoted. “He didn’t mean that, he was misquoted,” he said, in an attempt to portray the matter as a “family affair.”
