PLATEAU State House of Assembly, on Friday, held a valedictory session for the late Majority Leader of Plateau State House of Assembly, Hon. Gyang Fulani, who died recently when some group of terrorists struck during the mass burial of those in Barakin Ladi Local Government Area of the state.Presiding over the session, the Speaker of the House, Hon. John Clark Dabwan, called on government at all levels to close ranks by joining forces to bring the senseless carnage to an end, so as to enable the deceased rest in peace and bring solace to his family.
“Paying the price of insecurity in Plateau with his life is a price too huge to pay, but the blood of Gyang Fulani, spilled in the struggle for our liberty at the hands of the wicked, I believe, will not be in vain,” he said.
“If it is blood of the innocent, it has flown enough! If it is the blood of babies, it has flown enough! If it is the blood of women and pregnant mothers, it has flown enough! If it is the blood of political leaders on the Plateau, here lies our Majority Leader, Honourable Gyang Fulani. Whose blood do you want again?
“The blood of the innocent is crying before God. No wickedness shall go unpunished; no matter one’s status and achievement in life. Take note, whatsoever a man sows, that he shall reap,” he added.
The lawmakers eulogised the late Fulani and described him as an epitome of truth and courage with a sense of humour and maturity.
Hon. Joyce Ramnap, representing Langtang constituency, said Fulani died for the people of Plateau in order to achieve peace, describing him as a rallying point, who always upheld the integrity of the House.
