Jonathan Congratulates New Attah Igala



President Goodluck Jonathan Thursday congratulated Prince Idakwo Michael Ameoboni on his emergence as the new Attah of Igalaland, urging him to do his utmost best to foster peace and progress in his domain.
President Jonathan, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, on behalf of himself and the Federal Government, while congratulating the monarch also applauded the Igala Traditional Council and the Kogi State Government for adhering to due process and Igala native laws and customs which lead to a peaceful and orderly succession of the revered late Attah of Igalaland, Alhaji Aliyu Obaje who passed on last year.

The president charged the new Attah Igala to utilise his vast knowledge and experience gained from a successful career in the Armed Forces and public service of Nigeria to very good use in the service of his people as he wished him a successful tenure, saying the Federal Government will give him full support as he strives to build on the commendable legacies of his worthy predecessor.
