First Lady Commends Mark's Role In Women Emancipation
The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, on Monday commended the Senate President, Sen. David Mark, on his role in the emancipation of the Nigerian woman. Jonathan gave the commendation in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by her Special Assistant, Media, Mr Ayo Osinlu.
``I commend the Senate President's support for the emancipation of the Nigerian women and his untiring effort to ensure that the voices of women are heard, not only in the National Assembly, but in all sectors of the Nigerian society,’’ she said.
The president’s wife also congratulated Mark on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
``I congratulate Mark on the occasion of his 65th birthday. He is an agent of stabilisation in the National Assembly.
``I also commend his patriotism and mature handling of proceedings at the National Assembly, which promotes harmonious relationship between the executive and the legislature.
``I wish him more prosperous and fruitful service years,’’ she added
