A Mobile Police personnel attached to the Special Task Force (STF), on Jos crisis code-named Operation Safe Haven has shot one of his colleagues to death in Jol area of Riyom local government council of plateau State.
LEADERSHiP Sunday also gathered that two children between the ages of eight and twelve years were wounded in the shooting and are in Vom Christian Hospital receiving treatment.
It was further learnt that the deceased personnel was also a mobile police officer attached to STF too.
When contacted, the spokesman of STF Captain, Salisu Mustapha told LEADERSHIP Sunday that it was true that a mobile police attached to STF shot to death his colleague who was also a mobile police officer in Jol, Riyom LGC.
According to him, two children were seriously wounded in the fracas and were receiving treatment in Vom Christian Hospital.
He pointed out that it was not clear what informed the shooting and killing of his colleague adding that the said officer was arrested and was being investigated to ascertain the motive behind the killing.
