UCH gets new facility

A LEADING Turnkey medical equipment solutions company in the country, JNC International Limited (JNCI) has congratulated the Chief Medical Director (CMD) at University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Prof. Temitope Alonge, on the commissioning today of the first state–of-the-art Cardiovascular Centre in Nigeria by the Minister of Health, Prof. Christian Onyebuchi.The centre was built through a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) initiative between UCH Ibadan and JNC International Ltd.

JNC was responsible for the Design, Build, Project Management, Biomedical Engineering and equipping of this ‘world class’ facility.

The vision of the hospital management is to provide world class early diagnosis of cardiac disease, minimal invasive cardiac intervention and advanced “open-heart” surgery.

The first phase of the PPP was for Cardiovascular Diagnostic Centre which involved the provision of the first 64-slice cardiac Computed Tomography (CT) Machine in public sector in Nigeria, followed by the equipping of a world class Echo, Stress ECG and Holter (ambulatory ECG) monitoring suite.
