FCMB launches “Committed to Green” campaign in Ibadan

FIRST City Monument Bank (FCMB) Oyo Zone, on Thursday, launched a Corporate Social Responsibility programme tagged: ‘C2G- Committed to Green’ campaign in Ibadan, aimed at endorsing the theme of the World Environment Day, cleaning major roads in Ibadan metropolis.The team, led by the head of the bank’s Oyo zone, Leticia Igna-Igboko, regional director, Kayode Adigun; regional manager, Control and Compliance, Mr Abubakar Soyemi and Manager, UCH branch, Mrs Oluseko Opayemi; assembled scores of the bank’s staff as early as 7.00 a.m on Thursday, despite the all-night rain, at the Total petrol station, Mokola.

The exercise, which also had in attendance the state Commissioner for Environment and Habitat, Alhaji Dauda Oladimeji and some directors of the ministry, started right in front of the petrol station through Sango intra-city motor park, Poly junction, Sango-Mokola road up till UI/Bodija junction.

Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune during the exercise, Alhaji Oladimeji thanked FCMB for the initiative and said “honestly, FCMB has really assisted the state government by embarking on this exercise, especially on a day set aside by the Oyo State government for environment sanitation in the state.
