The controversial lawyer, Nwokorie Samuel Chinedu, who attempted to register African Peoples Congress (APC) at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with fake firm address made a dramatic appearance yesterday at the federal high court in, Abuja, to represent one Philip Agbese who has dragged the Senate Minority Leader, Senator George Akume to court alleging forgery in his WAEC and NYSC certificates.
The lawyer announced appearance for Philip Agbese (plaintiff) as Nwokorie Samuel but the judge, Justice Ahmed Mohammed, quickly asked whether he is the same one as Chinedu Samuel hence he wrote his name on the case list as Chinedu Samuel instead of the name he announced.
Beside, the lawyer (Chinedu or Nwokorie) told the court that he is not familiar with the facts of the matter because he just came to the court yesterday morning and he was informed of the case so he decided to appear.
“The counsel who was supposed to appear (Amobi Nzelu) was sick and had travelled to the village so when he came back, he could not come to court so he called me and asked if I can hold brief for him. I just got to know of the case today and I have not even studied the case file”, he told the court.
He further told the court that, “The matter is for mention and it appeared all the defendants have not been served. As a result we will be asking for a short adjournment to enable me serve the defendants”TK's Blog | Free Forex Signals | Infotech Arena Tech News |
