PHOTOS: Inside the world’s largest building... the size of MONACO

IT'S been dubbed the world's biggest building and can hold 20 Sydney Opera Houses.

And the New Century Global Centre in China's Sichuan province is the only place you can ice skate, sleep in a five star hotel and catch some rays on the beach - without ever stepping outside.

Huge ... a man-made lake has been built outside the building

The newly-built glass dome is three times the size of the Pentagon Building in Washington, D.C.

According to reports, the building is 500 metres long, 400 metres wide and 100 metres high and is the size of Monaco.

It covers an astonishing 19million sq ft and contains office spaces, shopping centres, a 14-screen IMAX cinema and a water park called ‘Paradise Island’.

The beach can hold up hold 6,000 people and a giant LED screen projects a faux shoreline and ocean.

What’s more, visitors to the glass-panelled building don't have to worry about the weather as the giant complex has its own fake SUN which will shine 24 hours a day.

The colossal building took three years to complete and Chinese officials say it’s the ‘world’s largest standalone structure’.

Chill-out time ... visitors can take a dip in the indoor swimming pool

Chinese guide Liu Xun told AFP: “This is an ocean city built by man.”

The building is opposite the Chengdu Contemporary Arts Centre, designed by British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.
