TEACHER Who Slept with HER 16 Year Old STUDENT Avoids Jail Term

A WOMAN teacher who had sex with a boy of 16 was spared jail yesterday.

Roseanna Langley, 24, said the affair was over — but she was re-arrested three days ago after being seen with the lad in her car. It was not ruled a bail breach because the boy is no longer a pupil and she has been sacked by the school.

Yesterday Langley got a suspended eight-month jail sentence and was banned indefinitely from working with kids.

During the six-week affair, Langley sent the boy hundreds of texts and naked snaps — and even got a tattoo of his name.

One text read: “Let me tie you up it’s so sexy.” In another she said she didn’t care if she got sacked as long as they could be together.

Langley took the teenager to a London hotel for a dirty weekend away, but when he wanted to cool the relationship she tried to force him into continuing the fling by lying about falling pregnant and having a miscarriage.

She was caught after rumours swept St James School in Exeter.

Langley — who began the relationship after breaking up with her fiancé — last month admitted sex with a male aged 13 to 17 while in a position of trust. She was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court yesterday.

She will also have to sign the Sex Offenders Register for ten years.

Judge Paul Dunkels branded her “selfish and manipulative,” adding: “You were reckless not only with your own career and liberty but this boy’s wellbeing. You were selfishly exploiting him.

“You abandoned all self-discipline and judgment. You will never teach children again.”

Last month shamed maths teacher Jeremy Forrest, 30, was jailed for five-and-a-half years at Lewes Crown Court, East Sussex, for having sex with a 15-year-old girl pupil and fleeing to France with her
