El-Rufai, Tinubu To Attend Abaji ACN Campaign Flag-off Tomorrow


Former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai and the national leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are among dignitaries that will attend the campaign flag-off of the chairmanship candidate of ACN in Abaji area council, Alhaji Abdulrahman Ajiya, holding in Abaji on Saturday.
Abaji ACN Chairman in the FCT, Alhaji Muhammed Bello, who disclosed this to journalists, yesterday, said other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include, the national chairman of ACN, Chief Bisi Akande, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole and the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, as well as states and national chairmen of the ANPP, CPC and ACN.

He stated that el-Rufai will be guest speaker at the occasion while Senator Kabiru Gaya, former senatorial candidate of the CPC in the FCT, Tanko Abari, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande and Aminu Bello Masari will be special guests of honour.

The ACN chairman urged members and supporters of the party across the 10 wards of the council, especially the youths to conduct themselves peacefully and be law abiding to all security agents, in order to ensure a successful campaign flag-off. 

Meanwhile, members of the Board of Trustee (BoT) of the ACN in Abaji, on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the family of one of their deceased member, Alhaji Usman Yisu, who slumped and died recently while observing prayer in a mosque.

The BoT Chairman, Alhaji Attahiru Azza, who led the delegation to the family at Mamagi village described the late Yisu as a gentle, hardworking and committed party elder.

Also speaking, Ajiya urged the deceased’s family to bear the loss in good faith, saying that God gives life and takes it anytime and prayed for the repose of his soul.

The ACN BoT members were earlier received by the village head of Mamagi community, Alhaji Muazu Kolo Sarki, at his palace where special prayers were offered for the deceased.
